Louisiana Teixeira holds a PhD in Economics from Paris-Dauphine University, specializing in International Economics and Development. Her doctoral thesis focused on the Social Impacts of Trade Opening in Brazil, considering the macroeconomic reforms of the 1990s as well as special trade regimes (free trade zones). Having evolved over the last few years as a researcher and teacher at the Université Paris-Dauphine / DIAL / Institut de Recherche pour le Développement, her research deals with issues relating to international trade, emerging and developing countries, poverty and inequality, gender discrimination and the labor market.
