Consensus January 2016

⚠️Automatic translation pending review by an economist.

Macro Network consults economists in Paris, London, Brussels, Geneva, and Washington to establish a macroeconomic consensus on economic and financial risks.

This Consensus brings together the main economic and financial issues for the coming quarters and provides insight into how economists view these phenomena. For this first Consensus of 2016, economists from BSI Economics (77% of respondents) and its network (currently 23%) were surveyed between January 12 and 21, 2016. The main issues monitored were 1) changes in the price of Brent crude oil, 2) monetary policy in the United States and the eurozone, and 3) the economic situation in emerging countries.

We would like to extend our special thanks to the economists from the BSI Economics network for their participation: Jézabel Couppey-Soubeyran (Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University), Martine Carre-Tallon (Professor at Paris Dauphine University, PSL Research University), Didier Borowski (Head of Macroeconomics at Amundi), Julien Marcilly (Coface), as well as an economist who is a member of AFSE, a strategy manager at Yomoni, an academic at CEPII, a strategist economist at a French public financial institution, and a strategist economist at Banque Privée.
