Orientation and Ethics Committee

The Steering and Ethics Committee aims to ensure compliance with the Editorial Charter and the Code of Ethics and Non-Conflict of Interest Commitments, both of which are founded on the values of objectivity and independence in our analyses.
The Steering and Ethics Committee is made up of expert economists from the financial, academic and institutional worlds.

Julien Moussavi

JULIEN MOUSSAVI

Head of Sustainable Investment Sovereign Research chez London Stock Exchange Group - LSEG (Paris)

Graduated from ENSAE ParisTech and holds a PhD in Financial Macroeconomics from Paris-Dauphine University (DRM-Finance). He currently works in a strategy and economic research department in the sovereign risk sector. His main areas of interest are emerging countries, their economies, financial markets and monetary policies. Julien is also a member of the editorial board of BSI Economics.

ADRIEN TENNE

Manager Kearney (Paris)

Adrien is currently a manager in Kearney’s Paris office. Previously, he held positions at the Direction Générale du Trésor and the Agence des Participations de l’Etat. He also worked as an asset manager (in particular for bond portfolios) in the reserve management department of the Banque de France. A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, Ensae and the London School of Economics, his research focuses on finance, market mechanisms, financial institutions and macroeconomics.

NICOLAS PIETRZYK

NICOLAS PIETRZYK

Economist at the University of Minho (Portugal)

A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan and Sciences Po Paris, Nicolas Pietrzyk is an economist with the French Ministry of Culture. He has previously taught economics and management at universities and Grandes Ecoles, and worked in several national and international institutions. His main areas of interest are economic policy and the economics of culture. At BSI Economics, Nicolas Pietrzyk is also in charge of public affairs and a member of the Guidance and Ethics Committee.

Julien Pinter

JULIEN PINTER

Economist at the University of Minho (Portugal)

Julien Pinter is a researcher in Monetary Economics at the University of Minho. He was previously a visiting researcher at Harvard University and Charles University in Pragues. He holds a PhD from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He works on issues relating to monetary policy, exchange rate regimes and central bank communication. He has worked at the European Central Bank and the Banque de France in particular. He was a visiting researcher at the University of Amsterdam, worked at the Université de Bruxelles Saint-Louis and studied at Stockholm University.

Pierre-Michel Becquet

Head of Credit Risk at Société Générale (Paris)

A graduate of Université Paris Dauphine in Monetary and Financial Economics, Pierre-Michel Becquet is an analyst at Société Générale, having previously worked for AFIC as an economic and financial research officer. His main areas of interest are corporate financing, financial intermediation and monetary policy.

Sylvain Bersinger

SYLVAIN BERSINGER

BSI Economics Project Manager, Economist at Asterès (Paris)

A graduate of Lyon 2 and Paris Dauphine Universities, Sylvain Bersinger is an economist at Asterès, having previously worked in country risk at BNP Paribas and La finance pour tous. His analyses focus mainly on Latin American and African countries. He is interested in popularizing the discipline, and has written several books for the general public, hosts a YouTube channel and coordinates BSI Economics publications.

Julien Brault

JULIEN BRAULT

Economist at the European Investment Fund (Luxembourg)

A graduate of SciencesPo Paris, the Sorbonne and the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Julien Brault holds a doctorate in international economic relations. He is currently an economist in the Research Department of the European Investment Fund, part of the European Investment Bank Group. He has also worked at the European Central Bank. His work focuses on investment fund returns, the impact of credit guarantees, private debt sustainability, economic and financial history, development policies, trade protectionism and capital controls.

Jérôme Mathis

Professor of Economics and Finance at Université Paris Dauphine-PSL (Paris)

A graduate of Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in Economics and Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Mathematics, Jérôme Mathis is a professor at Université Paris-Dauphine and conducts his academic research in the LEDa laboratory (CNRS joint research unit). His current research focuses on financial market regulation. He has written several books for students and the general public

Maëlle Vaille

MAËLLE VAILLE

Portfolio manager at Atlas Management (Geneva)

A graduate of Université Paris Dauphine, Maëlle Vaille is currently a doctoral student at Université de Bordeaux (LAREFI) and portfolio manager at Atlas Management in Geneva. Her main areas of interest are monetary policy, international macroeconomics and financial stability. More specifically, her thesis focuses on the effects of central bank balance sheet policies on financial stability.
